Farmers Markets Two Weeks in a Row!

Writer's picture: Becky WeiseBecky Weise

Cooler weather is here! That alone makes me feel giddy. Thank you God for this wonderful rain. We had an inch and six tenths this week! Our animals are happy and our fields are already looking better. We needed it so badly and we pray for more, with consistent rains to sustain us and our farm. Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Without your help, we can do nothing.

Please make plans to attend the Winchester Farmers Market, this Saturday, October 7 at Zilss Hall located at 108 Memorial Hall Street in Winchester. The market will be open until noon.

Be sure to stop by our booth where you can register to win some wagyu beef and pick up some groceries for the month! Last month the winner of our drawing was Leon “Skinny” Miller, who won a package of Osso Buco. You could be the winner this time!

As always, we will be bringing wagyu beef. We just got a new harvest back from the processor, and we will be bringing a nice selection along with us. We will also have delicious artisan sourdough bread, freshly made brown sugar and cinnamon pear butter, peach jelly, homemade noodles, pasta and our brand new homemade granola made with local honey! We also have rendered beef tallow, and our homemade tallow soaps.

Next Saturday -Please join Weise Farms at a brand new Market near Round Top!

Help us welcome Sugar Magnolia Farms who will be celebrating their store's Grand Opening with a combination of makers and farmers in their brand new store and market.

The following is a list of the types of vendors that will be there.

Handmade furniture indoor and out door furniture.

2. Swedish baked goods

3. Art and crochet.

4. Elixir Aesthetics ATX doing facials

We treasure the friendships we have made with you over the years and we really appreciate it when you show up at the markets! Your being there means so much to us. Thank you for supporting our small family farm. We love being part of your grocery shopping plans.

Weise Farms Wagyu Beef Filet Mignon.jpg

OMG! That filet was amazing. Coarse salt and pepper crusted, wrapped in bacon, seared in a smoking hot cast iron skillet, flipped and  finished in a 500 degree oven. Killer!

We had a couple of friends over Saturday and I served them Weise Farms wagyu smoked beef ribs. They melted in your mouth!! The flavor was rich and creamy.
