Another Winchester Winner

Writer's picture: Becky WeiseBecky Weise

Congratulations to Joyce "Tootsie" Herzog! She is the winner in our Winchester Farmers Market drawing for a wagyu beef round steak. Thank you to everyone who registered at our booth.

Even in the heat we had a great turnout, so thank you so much to those who came out to shop at the farmers market in Winchester. We absolutely love visiting with you. We plan to be there on the first Saturday of September again.

Maybe September won't be quite as hot, but the market is growing, and all of us want to make it worth your while with new delicious goodies and many other items. Weise Farms will have another wagyu beef give-away, so be sure to stop by and register. Definitely add the farmers market to your calendar and set an alarm because you won't want to miss it!

The Winchester farmers market is on the first Saturday of each month at Zilss Hall from 8:30 to noon. We hope you will keep coming out to support the area folks who enjoy setting up a booth and sharing their bounty with you. You are what makes it all worthwhile.

We want to say thank you to @bastropguide for visiting the market and going live on instagram. You can watch that video here:

Another awesome reel was created by @loftypinesfarm and you can see it here.

And another one was posted by @fitbyparisoneal that you can see here:

Thank you all again and God bless you as you bless local farmers and artisans with your support.

Weise Farms Wagyu Beef Filet Mignon.jpg

OMG! That filet was amazing. Coarse salt and pepper crusted, wrapped in bacon, seared in a smoking hot cast iron skillet, flipped and  finished in a 500 degree oven. Killer!

We had a couple of friends over Saturday and I served them Weise Farms wagyu smoked beef ribs. They melted in your mouth!! The flavor was rich and creamy.
