A Creep Feeder for the Chicklets

Writer's picture: Becky WeiseBecky Weise

Our momma hen was ready to go back to the flock. And her babies were outgrowing their galvanized water trough. The problem with letting the chicks be with the big girls is the different feeds they require. The hens love chick starter-grower and they tend to eat it up!

That's why we made a chick creep feeder.

The babies can come and go through the small openings at the bottom allowing them to eat all they want without competition. It may not be fancy, but it works!

Weise Farms Wagyu Beef Filet Mignon.jpg

OMG! That filet was amazing. Coarse salt and pepper crusted, wrapped in bacon, seared in a smoking hot cast iron skillet, flipped and  finished in a 500 degree oven. Killer!

We had a couple of friends over Saturday and I served them Weise Farms wagyu smoked beef ribs. They melted in your mouth!! The flavor was rich and creamy.
